Im Yong Soo, Korea - Hetalia: Axis Powers(Hangul) by ArrenChiajiju Im Yong Soo, Korea - Hetalia: Axis Powers(Hangul) by ArrenChiajiju
My recent cosplay as IM YONG SOO of Axis Powers Hetalia. This is not a original Hetalia Design, and none of Hidekaz's Art. I just saw it in internet and I find it awesome since it will give Yong Soo-ssi a different shot at this. I also love watching Historical Korean Dramas, and it is one charachteristics of Yong Soo-ssi, his Hallyu to the world. I guess I was also tossed by this big wave. KKKKK... (hehehe... in korean, well I am in charachter kkkkk....)

I crafted most of my costume. I really believe making your own costume is part of being a cosplayer. It is a good hobby, a good past time and a good time to have fun with family and friends. It also makes you creative and logical in making things. I also did my styling to my wig- trimming, fixing and waxing. Oh~ the make-up too. Yeah~I am not good at it.

The GAT- or the nobleman's hat made from aluminum screen, g.i. wire frame and ice cream container. I painted it with black lacquer spray paint then put a black ribbon and a bead work.
The hanbok was handmade by myself, its hand sewn and I think it took a month to finish it. The embroideries on its waist and on the front are authentic from Japan. These make the hanbok looks authentic at a glance.
The undergarments are bought in a thrift shop and altered them to fit for the necessary look. And an authentic Tang Dynasty Shoe was painted black, it was color red, and yeah, I did it because a black shoe is needed but I can't find any. Lastly, I bought a fan in a department store, I am really looking hard to find that kind to complete my cosplay and it was a chance to see it. I felt so happy because that time my costume was already completed.

The photo was taken by a friend, thanks to her. And the post processing was done by myself. I really enjoy cosplaying that day, many asked to have a picture with them and compliments form my Hetalia Cosplay Group. It was a blessed day for me. At the morning, I went to church first and worship him. I really make God first above anything else for he is my creator and savior, without him I am nothing, it is all because of Jesus. :)

More cosplay from me~ more Im Yong Soo - Ullzzang and KPOP Versions, more Hetalia cosplay! DAZE! KKKKK....

Wow! This sure is a very nice cosplay! :la:
Just wondering~ Which is the picture from internet you used to create the costume? Sorry, I don't know anything about Korea's historical clothing :C but I would love to know! :XD:

Thanks. I really look forward I can do more cosplay to Im Yong Soo, maybe a photoshoot in a woods.

I just saw that photo here in deviantart, actually it is a fanart... also I love to watch Korean Historical Dramas like Dae Jang Geum, Dongyi, Jang Ok Jung, that is why I came up to this. This kind of clothing is kind of precious garment worn by the nobles in the Joseon Period of Korea. Default Hetalia Design is assexual and modern, a mixture of men's and women's hanbok.
